Marc Beattie

Founder and Managing Partner of Wainhouse

Marc Beattie is the Founder and Managing Partner of Wainhouse, an industry research firm focused on workplace communications and collaboration. Marc began his career in Boston as an early member of PictureTel which eventually grew to $490M in revenues. In the early 1990’s Marc joined the founders of Polycom (now Poly) in San Jose which eventually grew to over $1B in revenues and set the standard for high quality conference phones and group video conferencing systems. At PictureTel and Polycom Marc held roles in business analysis, product management, channel sales management, inside sales management, and business development.

At Wainhouse, Marc and his team assist technology companies and service providers interpret and act on emerging technology and market trends through a data driven approach to decision making. Marc has authored hundreds of public and private studies on product strategies, distribution structures, emerging technologies and industry applications. He regularly engages with IT decision makers at enterprises, and executives at global Telcos, service providers, technology providers, emerging companies, and the financial community.

Steve Bowen

Steve is the Founder and CEO of Maine Pointe. With more than 30 years of P&L experience, including turnarounds and high-growth businesses with revenues up to $100M, Steve Bowen has acquired an exceptional track record in supply chain optimization as well as lean and demand-pull global environments.

Steve’s leadership expertise includes the design and building of innovative customer-centric relationship and service delivery systems, collaborative leadership frameworks, profitability-driven management and compensation models, and recruitment initiatives that attract best-of-class specialized managers, advisors, and directors. In addition to North America, he has extensive experience in Europe, the Pacific Rim and China. Steven Einstein

Vice Chairman of Equiteq

Steven is Vice Chairman of Equiteq, a global M&A boutique focused upon the knowledge economy. Previously, he had served for more than a dozen years as a senior partner in PwC's Chairman's Office. Whilst there, Steven acted as the US and, at times, Global Head of Corporate Development and Inorganic Growth Strategy for the firm. Prior to holding that position, Steven served in various senior-level capacities in the M&A departments of PaineWebber Incorporated, Morgan Grenfell & Co. and the leveraged buyout firm of Kluge Subotnick Perkowski & Co.

Steven was admitted to the Bars of the States of New York and New Jersey (inactive). He is also a Certified Public Accountant (New York and New Jersey - inactive) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Steven graduated with honors from Lehigh University having received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, minoring in International Law. Subsequently, Steven received a Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University Law School as well as an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University Law School. Most recently, in addition to completing several executive education programs at Harvard Business School, Steven successfully completed the Director Education and Certification Program at UCLA's Anderson School of Management, which program focuses exclusively on board of directors governance matters.

Teri McClure

Board Member at JetBlue Airways, Lennar Corporation, and GMS

Teri McClure most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Vice President of Labor at United Parcel Service, Inc. (NYSE: UPS), whose 481,000-strong workforce serves more than 220 countries with a fleet of 500 UPS and chartered aircraft. McClure joined UPS in 1995 as employment counsel in the company’s legal department. Over her nearly 25-year career with the logistics giant she progressed into a number of key senior leadership positions including General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, before ultimately serving as Chief Human Resources Officer. Prior to UPS, McClure worked in private practice in Atlanta. She earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and economics from Washington University in St. Louis and a juris doctor from Emory University School of Law.

Jennifer Potter-Brotman

Experienced Board Director, Advisor, and former President/CEO

Jennifer Potter-Brotman has over 30 years’ experience in senior management roles in professional services companies and is currently an active board member and consultant. In addition to BoardProspects, she serves on the board of Maine Pointe, an operational implementation consulting firm, and the advisory board for Enlighten Operational Excellence, a provider of software and services to drive operational performance. She also serves as the Vice Chairman of The Commonwealth Institute, a not for profit helping women business leaders.

Before taking her current advisory roles, she ran the Boston Office of Russell Reynolds, a global leader in assessment, recruitment, and succession planning. In addition, she worked in the Corporate Officers Practice, was a member of the Diversity Practice, and led the Human Resources Practice. Her former roles include working in private equity and serving as the CEO of the Forum Corporation, a leader in corporate education. Jennifer was instrumental in the sale of Forum to Pearson PLC in July 2000. Jennifer has lived and worked around the world, including her role as the CEO of Forum Europe based in London. Jennifer earned her B.A. in English Literature from the University of New Hampshire and attended the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD.
