Interviewing for a board role is a two-way street. Take time in advance to develop a list of questions to help you assess whether or not each opportunity is the right fit.
We recommend having this conversation as soon as possible to establish your ambition to be on a board and explore your organization's rules, regulations, and any conflicts of interest.
Schedule time with the Story Builders you identify in the Map Your Network event to review and offer feedback on your PVP.
Boost your candidacy and increase the visibility of your theBoardlist profile through consistent, targeting networking strategies.

Follow this step-by-step guide to export your LinkedIn contacts.
After exporting your LinkedIn network, map your contacts into quadrants to guide your networking strategy.
Choose the thought leadership format that most appeals to you; schedule time to advance your thought leadership goals based on your chosen format – time to write, time to reach out to podcast hosts/event organizers, etc.
Once you're confident in your positioning, view and apply to active opportunities.
We strongly advise that you work through the Positioning section, complete at least one coaching call, and feel confident in the current iteration of your key materials before applying to opportunities.
